How many international students are there and which countries are they from? What is the total number of students/number of boarders?International students make up 30% of our Senior School population, with over 25 countries represented. Our total population in the Senior School (Grade 9-12) is 475 students, with approximately 280 attending as boarding students. Just over half of the boarders are from outside Canada. Some of the countries represented include Bermuda, China, Singapore, Mexico, Germany, Korea, Barbados, St. Kitts and India. What are the fees for 2010-2011? Can they be paid by credit card? The fees for the 2010-2011 school year are: Day student fees
Boarding student fees
We accept cheques (payable to Trinity College School), cash, electronic bill payments, wire transfers, money orders, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. What other fees should I expect?Uniforms: These can be purchased new from our supplier or used in the Bear Boutique guild store on campus. Most families look at $750-$1,000 in their first year for uniform expenses. What is the percentage of graduates who go on to University? In any given year 100% of our students are accepted to and placed in universities. Occasionally, a student may take a year off, participate in the GAP year abroad or, in some instances, extra courses are taken before going on to university. Does the School offer a "home stay" programme/guardian information?TCS does not allow home stays with our international students. We require our day students to be living full-time with their own family in order to attend TCS as a day student. Boarding students residing outside of North America require a Canadian guardian for breaks and holiday stays. The guardian could be a family member or close friend of the family. Trinity College School does not arrange for guardianship; however, we do recommend some agencies that we work with on a consistent basis. Please contact the admissions department for more information. Boarding students must have a Canadian guardian to stay with over school holidays and breaks. This is one of the requirements of our application process for international students. |
