We Day 2010Next Tuesday, September 27th, 45 students from the Junior and Senior Schools at Trinity College School will be attending We Day in Toronto! Additionally, our Grade 9 students will watch the event via live video streaming right here in the Dick and Jane LeVan Theatre.

We Day is a free “concert” put on by Free The Children every year at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre (as well as other locations across Canada). The speeches and performances given on this day are geared towards inspiring youth to create positive change in their communities. This empowering and educational day has had some very high profile guests in the past, and this year’s line-up includes actor Danny Glover and musicians Nelly Furtado and Joe Jonas. To check out this year’s event, visit: http://www.weday.com/event/toronto.

This is a really exciting opportunity for our students to gain some understanding of the world they live in and the issues that surround them every day. We Day is a unique “outside the classroom” learning experience with some of the world’s most accomplished and interesting speakers and performers.
