Trinity College School students didn’t mind the cold, wet weather on Sunday, October 2nd, as they braved the elements for a good cause in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure.

Students from Burns and Bethune House, along with a few friends from Scott and Ketchum, took part in the Peterborough run for the third year in a row. A total of 77 students took part, raising funds for research and education in the fight against breast cancer.

TCS runners had set a fundraising goal of $1,000, but ended up raising $2,350, reports Mrs. Jennifer Petrolito, Burns housemaster and a faculty chaperone for the trip. She adds that the School placed eighth overall in team fundraising and won the High School Challenge as top fundraiser in that category for the second year in a row.

The students were thrilled to receive a banner marking this accomplishment, but more importantly enjoyed a day of physical activity and friendship for a worthwhile purpose.
