TCS golfers enjoy OFSAA experience

Two members of Trinity College School’s golf team made the trip to the OFSAA Golf Festival last week, with wonderful results. Grade 11 students Will Langford and Calum MacCoubrey took to the links at Trillium Wood Golf Course in Belleville, Ontario from October 13th to 16th, with Will earning a 10th place finish.

The TCS golf season takes place in the spring, while the OFSAA provincial event is hosted in the fall. So these two young golfers had to rely on the skills they developed last spring and over the summer holidays to guide them in the competition.

Will shot an opening round 75 and a second round 73 for a final score of 148 (four shots over par), landing him in a tie for 10th. This is an amazing result in a very competitive field of players. Calum finished further down in the field, but rebounded from an opening round 81 to shoot 79 on the final day and finish at 160.
