CISAA runners do TCS proud

Trinity College School was proud to host the CISAA Cross Country Championships on Tuesday, October 25th, welcoming more than 1,200 runners from Grades 4 through 12 representing independent schools throughout the league. Our own harriers team posted some great results, with three students earning spots in the OFSAA provincial championships.

The top individual racer for TCS was Oliver Blecher in the Midget boys (Under-15) category. Oliver crossed the finish line in second place, with his TCS classmate Jeff Christensen also finishing strong in 16th place.

The top team result belongs to the Senior girls (Under-20) squad, which came in fourth in a very competitive field. Leading the way was Carly Ramsay with a fourth place finish, followed by Eila Collings (20th), Catherine McDonald (23rd) and Emily Bradeen (24th).

Ali Parke had a fantastic race in the Midget girls (Under-15) category, finishing fourth overall.

• Under-12 boys: Ben Traugott, 23rd
• Under-12 girls: Tessa Kassinger, 71st
• Under-14 boys: Ben Christensen, 22nd
• Under-14 girls: Kailee Morrison, 34th
• Junior boys (Under-16): Thomas Blecher, 20th
• Senior boys (Under-20): Lucas Marx, 34th

Congratulations to all of the runners. We have many new runners in the programme this year and both our Senior and Junior School teams represented the School exceptionally well. And special thanks to everyone who helped to make the event so successful.

Best of luck to Oliver, Ali and Carly, who will represent TCS at the OFSAA Championships at Green’s Creek Conservation Area in Ottawa on Saturday, November 5th.
