The parade of Senior School students into morning chapel service included everything from the horrific to the hilarious. A severed head on a platter, Teletubbies, Ghostbusters (chasing the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man) and several Super Girls were among the crowd. Following contests including best individual and group costumes, the annual jack-o’-lantern judging was held, with decorated pumpkins including NASA astronauts, a penguin and Harry Potter. Over at the Junior School, the students had their own costume contest. And the entire Grade 5 class visited the administration and advancement offices to show off their costumes and collect some treats. Lunch in Osler Hall included spooky dishes like chicken guts (dumplings) and bat wings (hot wings). And in the evening, the annual Haunted House was created by student volunteers, who decorated Boulden House in the hopes of putting a fright into their classmates! Senior School students also trick-or-treated for a cause on Monday, October 31st, by taking part in Free the Children’s Halloween for Hunger. Groups went door-to-door in town to collect canned goods for the local food bank. Click here for Senior School photos. Click here for Junior School photos. |
