On Saturday, November 19th, the official grand opening of the new Chauvin Rowing Room took place at the Peter Campbell Memorial Rink, as this exciting practice facility was introduced for the rowing progamme at Trinity College School.

Nearly 50 parents, students, alumni and staff were in attendance to celebrate the facility’s opening. The brand new room was built on the success of the School’s acclaimed rowing programme and came to fruition thanks to a lead donation by the Chauvin family. Other major donors included the Bradeen/Osler and Fish families, who helped complete the fundraising project.

Headmaster Stuart Grainger thanked those in attendance for their interest in the programme and introduced coaches Josh Hamilton and Steve Schmidlin to say a few words. Both coaches gave inspiring speeches about the rowing programme and how it has evolved over the years.

Thanks also go to members of the TCS property department for their efforts in making the room a reality.
