On the morning of Thursday, November 17th during chapel service, Trinity College School’s academic stewards presented a skit on academic integrity.

The presentation, which was well received by Senior School students and staff, included a dramatization involving two students, Meredith and Zack, who had fallen behind in their work and consequently copied a friend’s essay for their World Religions course. The skit reviewed the resulting consequences for plagiarism, and included reminders of school policies on cell phone use, as well as proper school dress. The TCS Planner clearly outlines the School’s Honour Code, the definition of plagiarism, and also includes proper essay and citation guidelines.

Every house has appointed an academic steward, and one of their responsibilities is to serve as a liaison between students and the administration with respect to any academic concerns that may arise throughout the school year.
