The Trinity College School community gathered on December 17th and 18th to celebrate the 86th Christmas Carol Services.

The service of nine lessons and carols was led by School Chaplain, the Revd. Don Aitchison. The Chapel Choir and bell ringers performed under the direction of Randy Mills. The sacristans are Sharae Edness, Jhanee Finlayson, Sia Mehta, Jan-Henry Sanders and David Taylor.

During the Saturday service for boarding families, the lessons were read by Jake Stoddart, Liv Hodder, Zack Chauvin, Sharae Edness, Emily Bradeen, Olivia Robertson, Cameron Byers and Sophie Roberts. On Sunday, for the day family service, the readers were Joseph White, Conrad Speckert, Justin Morin, Kaspar Shahzada, Emily Ambrose, Josh Chipman, Guillaume Ferrier and Nicole Czegledy. At both services, the ninth lesson was read by Headmaster Stuart Grainger.

Featured vocal soloists during the service included: Carissa Li and Anna Glassco (In the Bleak Midwinter), Jennifer Wen (The Angel Gabriel), and Imani Bawa, Emily Ambrose, Carter Jewett, Basil Southey, Justin Morin and Jennifer Wen (We Three Kings). Ja Yeon Kang accompanied the choir on flute for several carols.

We thank the TCS Parents’ Guild volunteers and everyone who purchased the beautiful poinsettias which decorated the Memorial chapel.

As always, the services were a lovely way to join as a community in the spirit of the Christmas season.
