Junior School dodgeball tournament benefits Sleeping Children Around the World

Over 80 TCS Junior School students participated in a dodgeball tournament in the lower gym to benefit the charity Sleeping Children Around the World (SCAW). The event, held on January 31st, was part of the Grade 8 leadership programme.

Students Cameron Pollard, Jennifer D'Alimonte, Khalid Yassein, Makala Chapman, Vikram Singh, Robert Wojtas and Samantha Clark organized the tournament, and raised over $160 for the charity which provides bedkits to children located in underdeveloped and developing countries.

Each $30 donation to SCAW provides a bedkit that consists of a mat or mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net, clothes outfit, towel and school supplies. Since its founding in 1970, SCAW has raised over $17 million to provide bedkits for over 700,000 children in 31 countries.
