Murdoch Mysteries returns to film at TCS

Trinity College School was pleased to welcome back the cast and crew of the television series Murdoch Mysteries this week. This is the third time the show, which is now filming its sixth season, has used the campus as a location.

The series, based on the novels of Maureen Jennings, focuses on William Murdoch, a Toronto police detective who uses the “latest” forensic techniques available at the turn of the century. Previously, episodes from the second season included the W.A. Johnson Classroom Block and The Lodge. And the show returned in its fourth season to film outside of Boulden House. This time, both Osler Hall and the Guild Room served as locations for interior and exterior filming which took place on Tuesday, September 25th.

The cast and crew were very gracious with the many curious students and staff. Star Yannick Bisson posed for many photos and a tour of the set was even arranged.

Season five of Murdoch Mysteries is currently airing on the CBC on Monday nights, with season six to follow. In addition to Yannick Bisson, the show stars Thomas Craig, Helene Joy, Jonny Harris and Georgina Reilly. Learn more at http://www.cbc.ca/murdochmysteries/.
