Unveiling our newly improved media galleries

With the goal of constantly improving our online tools for TCS families, we are pleased to launch our new media galleries Wishing to enhance your viewing pleasure, we are now hosting all our photo and video content on leading media sites Flickr (photos) and YouTube (videos).

This new approach to sharing the School’s media galleries promises users a more engaging and easily interactive format and will be particularly beneficial for those who regularly view photos and video on a mobile device. Some advantages: photos and videos will display at a larger size, scroll through galleries with greater ease, view in the format you prefer (photostream or albums), share and download content quickly!

What is Flickr?

While most people are familiar with the video hosting site, YouTube, some people may not be as familiar with Flickr. Flickr is a popular and reliable photo management service which offers a very user-friendly viewing experience we expect you will enjoy. Both tools provide optimal viewing whether accessing from your computer, laptop, online via your favourite web browser, or via the free-to-download apps on your mobile. View, download and share photos you see on Flickr with ease. (When viewing on mobile, some features will require you to download the free Flickr app.)

How do I access the new media galleries?

Simply click on the “Media Gallery” button on our website or use the media gallery links in our newsletters, just as you have in the past, and you will be taken directly to the new galleries. Or, go to www.flickr.com/tcsbears or www.youtube.com/tcsbears using your browser.

We hope the transition to the media galleries will be a smooth one, but if you experience any problems or have questions, you may contact Jason Wells in the communications department for assistance: jwells@tcs.on.ca.
