Celebrating Barbara Piccini’s retirement

The Piccini Family

Hundreds of Trinity College School parents, alumni, students and staff gathered in Cirne Commons on Saturday, May 12th, to join Headmaster Stuart Grainger in honouring the upcoming retirement of Head of Junior School Barbara Winsor Piccini. The reception was a wonderful opportunity to thank Barbara for her service to the School and its students, as she prepares to retire following the end of the school year.

The commons was transformed into an elegant space where Barbara, along with her family – husband Reno, son David ’06, daughter Sarah ’09 and brother Terry – enjoyed reminiscing and reconnecting with guests who have known her over her 19 years at the School. Guests shared countless memories about the impact Barbara has had on their lives. A group of the School’s talented student-musicians performed brilliantly, while delicious appetizers and beverages were served, delighting all those in attendance.

Heartfelt remarks were expressed by colleagues, parents and students. Barbara’s influence will leave an indelible mark upon the fabric of TCS. As Headmaster Grainger noted, over the past two decades, she has encouraged and inspired those in our community to live the School’s mission of developing habits of the heart and mind for a life of purpose and service.
