TCS participants mark 10 years of Run for the Cure

Trinity College School students laced up their running shoes for the 10th year in a row, to lend their support to the local CIBC Run for the Cure, held in Peterborough on Sunday, October 6th

Back in 2009, the girls of Burns House first became involved with the run, which is the country’s largest single day, volunteer-led event specifically devoted to the cause of breast cancer. Funds raised support the Canadian Cancer Society’s work related to breast cancer research, support services, education and advocacy.

This year, students from every Senior School boarding house participated. Although a busy weekend on campus meant the group of runners was somewhat smaller, the participants had a great day and represented the School with pride.

A highlight of the event was watching Grade 12 student Kit Cheung cross the finish line in first place!

Congratulations to the students and chaperones who gave of their time and energy in support of this worthy cause.
