Senior School students welcome families to Parents Weekend

Senior School students had the chance to proudly show off the Trinity College School campus to their parents and siblings during the first of the School’s two annual Parents Weekend events. Held October 25th and 26th, in conjunction with Senior School Parent-Teacher Meetings, the weekend saw parents enjoy spending time with their children, while also becoming better acquainted with daily life at TCS.

On Friday morning, families were welcomed to chapel service, which included a performance by the TCS Bell Ringers, conducted by Mr. Randy Mills. Afterwards, parents had the chance to chat with Headmaster Stuart Grainger, Head of Senior School Kristopher Churchill, Canon Don Aitchison and Mr. Mills at a coffee reception in the Trinity House sitting room.

Later in the day, parents were able to enjoy snacks and time to chat with fellow parents at a Parents Forum in the Gibson Room. Updates on the Junior and Senior Schools were provided and parents engaged in conversation with members of the School’s shared leadership team.

Parent-Teacher Meetings were held throughout Friday and Saturday, providing early discussions about student progress and how parents and teachers can best work together to support student success. Throughout the weekend, guidance faculty presented information sessions relating to Grade 12 post-secondary information, as well as parent workshops on helping children deal with adversity.

The weekend was enjoyed by all in attendance. We look forward to welcoming Senior School families again in February.
