Halloween handbell concert is a family event

Families from the Trinity College School community and guests from the Port Hope area came out on Monday, October 28th to hear the second annual Phantom of the Handbell concert.

Starring the 17 members of the Johnson Ringers senior handbell choir, the concert in the Memorial Chapel also featured vocal solos by Michelle Fan and Jayden Lefebvre along with student organist Loretta Hu.

The music had a Halloween theme, with the ringers performing works by Chopin, Albinoni, Sondra Tucker, Grieg and special highlights: the theme from Ghostbusters and a medley of tunes from Phantom of the Opera.

The appreciative audience included younger children of faculty and visitors from the wider community. Special mention was made of the generous support given to handbell ringing at the School by the TCS Parents’ Guild since 1996.
