Toronto Branch Dinner honours staff members for long-term service

On Thursday, November 7th, Trinity College School hosted the 79th annual Toronto Branch Dinner at the Royal Canadian Military Institute. Over 100 alumni from the classes of 1956 to 2019 attended, as well as more than 30 current and former staff members.

The meal was terrific as always, and the vibe in the room was lively. After a toast to the School led by David Thomas ’82, chair of the TCS Board of Governors, Headmaster Stuart Grainger gave the audience a wonderful update on all that is currently happening at TCS. After dinner, an alumni tie or scarf denoting honorary Old Boy/Old Girl status (in recognition of 20 years of service to the School) was presented to six staff and faculty members: Canon Don Aitchison, Barbara Brough, Christine Burns, Josh Hamilton, Rhiannon Heffernan and Christine Hoskin-Bailey.

Special thanks to the class of 1982, who had the largest contingent of classmates in attendance, and especially Douglas Massiah '02, who won the 50-50 draw and donated the proceeds to the School’s scholarship and bursary program.
