Guild events an opportunity for parents to learn new skills
  • Guild events an opportunity for parents to learn new skills

The TCS Parents’ Guild had a busy few days starting on Sunday, October 16th, as the group hosted a parent social event and a technology workshop, all within a span of four days.

On October 16th, a contingent of parents spent the afternoon learning new skills and having a lot of fun at Warrior Axe Throwing in Cobourg. Teams squared off for some light competition, and lots of laughter as everyone tried to master the art of throwing an axe! There were snacks and plenty of chances for parents to chat with friends new and old.

On Wednesday, October 19th, TCS parent Alison Sprayson led a group of about 20 through a session on the Google Suite of applications. In the Gibson Room of the Senior School library, attendees learned many tips and tricks for Google Docs and other programs that the guild uses regularly. Thank you to Alison for sharing her expertise with the group.

Keep an eye out for more guild events on the horizon. The latest details will be posted at www.tcs.on.ca/guild.
