Trinity College School’s Littleside football team recently completed an historic undefeated regular season. Now playing six-a-side football at this level, TCS fielded a team of highly committed young athletes who worked incredibly hard all season long. They learned the intricacies of the game, worked on their conditioning and honed their individual skills. Their commitment and efforts definitely paid off.

The season itself was extended beyond its traditional length because of job action in the public school system, but that didn’t cause these players any problems. In the end, they were able to win the championship trophy, defeating Campbellford D.H.S. in front of a home crowd on November 16th.

At the Fall Athletics Awards ceremony, the coaches expressed their gratitude and tremendous pride for what these young athletes had accomplished. With many of them moving up to Bigside football next season, the future of football at TCS appears quite bright.

Footnote: The last time that Littleside football had an undefeated season was in 1991, when the TCS coaching legend, Tom Langford, was the head coach.
