Alpine Skiing

Trinity College School’s alpine skiers got off to a fast start in 2023, posting fantastic results at the first CISAA league giant slalom meet of the season. Held at Mansfield Ski Club (north of Toronto) on Wednesday, January 18th, the meet netted several podium finishes for the Bears, including:

  • 1st – High School Trained Females Team: Ally Jiang, Lea Jane David Frenette, Leah Willmott, Aeowyn Commissiong
  • 1st – Open Females: Addy O’Grady
  • 1st – Open Males: Silas Hodges
  • 2nd – Open Males Team: Silas Hodges, Oliver Cowan, Henry Wilson
  • 2nd – High School Trained Males: Emerson Mendum

The alpine bears continued their winning ways at the second CISAA giant slalom event held on Wednesday, January 25th at Alpine Ski Club in Blue Mountain. The top team and individual highlights included:

  • 1st - High School Trained Females Team
  • 1st - Open Males: Silas Hodges
  • 1st - High School Trained Females: Ally Jiang
  • 2nd - Open Males Team
  • 2nd - High School Trained Males Team
  • 2nd - High School Trained Males: Emerson Mendum
  • 2nd - High School Trained Females: Lea Jane David Frenette
  • 3rd - Open Females Team
  • 3rd - Open Females: Addy O'Grady

In other sports news:

The Bigside boys basketball team continued its winning ways with a 67-31 win over Villanova on January 18th.

Littleside boys squash posted wins on January 18th over UCC (6-4) and Appleby (5-2).
