OSSLT Literacy Test

Event Date and Time:
Wednesday, March 27, 2019

In order to graduate from a secondary school in Ontario, students in Grade 10, and any Grade 11/12 students who are new to Ontario, must pass a test that assesses the reading and writing expectations in the Ontario curriculum. Successful completion of the OSSLT is a graduation requirement. This year, the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be written in the morning, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

If your son or daughter is writing this test, please ensure that you do not make appointments or plans that will interfere with the scheduled time to write the OSSLT. No extensions or exceptions are possible, as the test can only be administered on this day, as stipulated by the Education Quality and Accountability Office of Ontario.

Students will be informed if they are writing the literacy test and have access to materials to assist in preparing for the test.
