Swimming – Co-ed

Competition
The season starts in early November and finishes at the beginning of March. Our team competes in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA), a league made up of independent schools from across Ontario. The team attends 3-4 invitational meets, the CISAA Championships, and many of our students compete at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA).
Development
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: One hour practice in either on-site pool or local pool and one hour dryland training
- Wednesday: 1.5 hours in the local pool
- Saturday: Two hours in local pool
- Compete in 3-4 Invitational meets throughout the season, CISAA finals and OFSAA
Facilities
TCS has an 18m long pool on campus. The team also uses the local 25m town pool for training five times per week.
Program Successes
TCS swimmers traditionally post strong results in the CISAA league and at the OFSAA provincial championships. For example, in 2018, the team won six gold medals at the CISAA Championships, qualified 10 swimmers to OFSAA and won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the provincial finals. In 2019, the Bears were the OFSAA Senior Girls Champions.
