Facilities

Trinity College School’s numerous interscholastic sport teams and intramural programs enjoy the use of incredible on-site facilities, uncommon to the vast majority of high schools.

Our campus includes nine full-sized playing fields for football, soccer, field hockey, rugby and cricket. The Peter Campbell Memorial Rink is home to our hockey teams, while our tennis teams train and play on four modern outdoor courts. For recreational players, the School has outdoor beach volleyball and basketball courts.

A new 40,000 square foot athletic centre was completed for the start of the 2017-2018 school year. This exciting facility includes: three gymnasiums (one single and one double gym); a new athletic therapy clinic; a cardio and resistance training facility; changerooms; storage and classrooms. The Arnold Massey '55 Athletic Centre also includes two additional squash courts, bringing the total number of international courts in the Ernest Horward Squash Centre to five.

Additionally, the School has two gymnasiums in our main buildings.

Our rowing and baseball teams train at sites very close to campus; in the off-season our rowers have access to a new indoor training room located on campus. And our harriers (or cross-country running) team enjoys working out on our 5km cross-country trail.

Frances Price Athletic Therapy Clinic

The Frances Price Athletic Therapy Clinic is open daily, and closes when sports practices have ended after school. The athletic therapists are available to assess and treat sports related injuries, and work in conjunction with the School’s physician and health centre. When there are sporting events at TCS, the athletic therapists are available for emergency treatment of injuries. There is no additional fee for this service. Concussion health and safety is a priority. Return to Learn and Return to Play protocols are informed by current best practice, guidelines and research in this rapidly evolving area. Care and support of students under Return to Learn and/or Return to Play protocols is directed by a team including the school physician, athletic therapy, health services and academic support.
