Long Weekend Program
Capture Canada is a comprehensive long weekend program for students who are unable to return home during the School’s five break weekends. The program offers faculty-supervised travel and strives to capture the Canadian experience with a wide breadth of destinations, activities and adventures that will keep students entertained and engaged! Program offerings listed below.
Estimate pricing provided below, however, prices may vary depending on total enrolment. All prices are in Canadian dollars, and include all transportation, accommodation, excursions and activities, meals and taxes. Students should bring their own spending money for souvenirs, etc.
All trips require a non-refundable deposit of $500 upon registration. The remaining balance will be billed following the trip.
Ontario’s Greatest Hits: October 6-10, 2016 ($850-$1,000)
Explore central Ontario’s most famous landmarks: the CN Tower, the Ontario Science Centre, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum. Students will also travel to Niagara Falls, widely considered one of the natural wonders of the world, for a breathtaking experience and to take in some local attractions.
Banff National Park: November 10-14, 2016 ($2,000-$2,400)
Students will visit Banff, Alberta, the jewel in the crown of Canada's National Parks, for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding at the Sunshine Valley ski area.
Dogsledding Expedition: February 16-20, 2017 ($1,400-$1,600)
On this once-in-a-lifetime experience, students will learn to dogsled in one of the most beautiful areas of our country: Algonquin Provincial Park.
Quebec City & Mont-Sainte-Anne: April 13-17, 2017 ($1,300-$1,500)
Visit Quebec City, one of the oldest cities in North America, and experience French Canadian culture while taking the opportunity to ski at Mont-Sainte-Anne, one of the premier resorts in the east.
White Water Rafting & Resort: May 18-22, 2017 ($950-$1,200)
Travel to a beautiful resort on the Ottawa River for an exciting white water rafting adventure. Students will have the opportunity to relax, as well as enjoy resort amenities such as canoes, kayaks, beach volleyball courts, and more.
