Grade 9 trip starts year on positive note

Grade 9 students from Trinity College School got the year off to an enthusiastic start as the entire grade took part in an overnight trip from September 9th to 10th.

Students and their faculty chaperones (Mr. Tony Kleinschroth, Mr. Ross Large, Ms. Angie Collins, Mr. Steve Patterson, Mr. Courtney Christ, Mr. Myke Healy and Ms. Megan McNutt) were welcomed at the Me to We Leadership Centre in Bethany, Ontario.

In recent years, TCS has developed a strong relationship with Me to We, including our students’ involvement in the Ecuador school build, attendance at Me to We leadership academies and workshops, and participation in We Day.

Over the course of Friday and Saturday, the Grade 9 students enjoyed a variety of games that helped them to get know one another. They also took part in leadership sessions focused on public speaking, goal setting and leadership styles. One of the highlights of the trip was the amazing food at the camp, catered by St. Veronus Café in Peterborough!

The Grade 9 students participated well and overall there was a very positive feeling at the camp. As a result of this trip, the Grade 9 class is more cohesive and energized for the school year ahead.
