Montreal trip a great learning experience for Littleside hockey

Trinity College School’s Littleside boys hockey team gained valuable experience with an early season trip to Montreal on December 9th and 10th.

The annual trip is a chance for Littleside to challenge itself against some tough competition. The boys were hosted by College Jean-Eudes on Friday afternoon, losing 4-1. Then on Saturday morning, the Bears faced the Loyola High School Braves, coming out on the wrong end of an 8-1 final.

“Both Jean-Eudes and Loyola were very strong teams, so it was a good experience for the boys to play against this level of competition,” say coaches Steve Patterson and Bob Ramsay.

The team also enjoyed a great meal together at the Bar-B-Barn followed by a night at the movies on Friday. This wraps up the team’s play until the New Year, when Littleside will play an exhibition match against Denis O’Connor at Whitby’s Iroquois Park on January 11th, followed by a CISAA league game on January 18th at Royal St. George’s College.
