May promises to be a busy month in competitive sports for our Trinity College School Bears. Read on for recent results.

Softball: The softball team had a spectacular opening day of CISAA league action on May 1st at Ridley College. The Bears beat the host team, 15-7, and then followed that up with a 17-5 win over St. Clements School.

Tennis: The girls tennis team welcomed St. Clements and Greenwood College to the Arnold Massey ’55 Tennis Centre at TCS on May 1st. The hosts dominated on the court, beating SCS, 6-0, and then taking Greenwood, 5-1. Click here for photos of the team in action.

Rugby: The Bigside boys had a strong showing at home against St. Andrew’s College, posting a 28-14 win on May 6th.

Soccer: Bigside soccer had a dominating performance as they hosted Villanova College. With a shutout for goalkeeper Charlotte C., the Bears won 5-0. Goals were scored by Olivia M., Daniella B. and Ella M., with Ella pulling off a hat trick!

Ultimate Frisbee: On Wednesday, May 1st, the TCS ultimate Frisbee team had an exhibition game against Albert College. When we played them two weeks earlier in a friendly tournament, we lost 6-4; however, we wanted a second chance! We played hard and persevered, absolutely dominating the field throughout the game, with Dylan M., Alex S., Maeve S., Gwen D., Colton B. and Jeff Y. scoring a total of 11 points! The final score was 11-3, and we look forward to our next match on May 13th. – by Dylan McDermott, Grade 11 student
