On Monday, October 31st, a group of 39 Trinity College School senior art students and two art teachers attended the 12th Toronto International Art Fair at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

This is an especially valuable experience for our senior artists as they are asked to model the methods of artists in their own studio production. Looking at contemporary practice, subject and media choice, scale and approach, offers so much information and inspiration that can be directly applied by the students to their own pieces here in the studio.

The fair is a platform for dozens of private commercial art galleries from North America and abroad to show and promote their artists in new venues. So much art work, and an astonishing variety of approach, can be seen in one location. The environment is very welcoming and comparatively informal, which is an ideal way for our young artists to be introduced to some of the exciting art being made today.
