Parents “over the moon” with pottery class
  • Pottery Class

Trinity College School parents enjoyed the chance to get creative and spend some quality time together as the TCS Parents’ Guild hosted its first ever “Pottery Night” in the visual arts wing on Friday, April 26th.

Twenty parents were on-hand, ready to get their hands dirty decorating a “moon jar.” Moon jars are a traditional form of Korean pottery that began as a utilitarian piece and is now treasured for its artistic simplicity. The jars were imprinted with designs or decorated with pieces applied to their surfaces. Special thanks to our instructors, Amanda and Nikki from Mud Maker’s Studio.

While parents worked on their creations, they also snacked on sushi and sake, and spent time chatting with friends both new and old.

Everyone is looking forward to receiving their finished jars once they have been fired in the School’s kiln!
