Students and staff member recognized by town for contributions
  • Civic Award Recipients

Six Trinity College School students were among the group of Port Hope community members honoured at the annual Civic Awards celebration, held the evening of Thursday, May 2nd at the Capitol Theatre. These students were nominated by the Clinton T. Sayers ’80 Service Learning Office due to their exceptional contributions to our local community through volunteerism.

Christian C., Keefer C., Laurence C., Valarie N. and Roger Z. were presented with Community Service Awards, which recognize “individuals or groups who have made a positive impact on the Municipality of Port Hope through their volunteerism, enhancing the quality of life for others.”

Grade 12 student Nya F. received the Inspiration Award, which is “presented to an individual who inspires those around them to serve more, think bigger and take action. This award acknowledges those who are a strong source of support within the community and motivate others to believe in themselves.”

A special treat was the chance to see TCS director of culinary services Patrick McClean also receive an award at the ceremony, honouring his contributions to the field of agriculture in our local community.

Congratulations to all of the award recipients!
