  • Sports Update: Field hockey, soccer and more

The playoffs are just beginning for some teams, while others are wrapping up regular season action in hopes of earning a spot in the post-season. This week, the Senior School cross-country won the CISAA title and qualified 18 runners for the OFSAA provincial championships (click here to read more about their success). Read on for more recent sports news:

Bigside Field Hockey
The Bigside field hockey team had a solid end to the regular season, including a pair of 5-0 wins over Lakefield College School and Bishop Strachan School, with shutouts for goalie Danie Green. Goal scorers over the two games were Sienna Taylor (3), Carmella Ylagan (2), Lone Mullins (2), Jasmine de Pencier (2) and Josie Scott. The team earned the right to host the CISAA Championships at TCS and, while a semi-final loss to Havergal denied them the chance to play in the final, the team can be very proud of a wonderful season.
