Cookie Campaign for Green Wood a huge success!

Four of us from Grade 8 West helped to organize the Smile Cookie Campaign in the Junior School. This is an initiative from Tim Hortons to support the work of an organization in our community. This year all the proceeds from cookie sales in Port Hope went to the Green Wood Coalition. Many people during these times have no place to call home and Green Wood supports people who are homeless, hungry and hurting.

We informed the Junior School about the important work of the Green Wood Coalition and gave everyone an order form. The response was AMAZING!!!

A total of 612 cookies were ordered and $752 was raised to help the homeless people of Northumberland County. So, while we loved the cookies, our donations outnumbered the cookies which shows that what really matters is making our community a better place for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated money and ordered cookies for the Cookie Campaign. We hope the cookies made everyone smile :)
