Track & Field: The Senior School track team did TCS proud at the CISAA Championships, held May 15th to 16th at York University. TCS placed 12th out of 30 schools overall, and nine athletes earned a spot in the Metro Regionals – the qualifying event for the OFSAA provincial championships.

A whopping 18 athletes turned in top-eight finishes at CISAA, contributing points to the team’s overall total. Click here for full team results from the championship meet.

In addition to a third-place finish for the Open men’s 4x400m relay team, the following individuals earned top-four finishes and have advanced to Metros:

  • Abby Richards – Novice 1500m run (2nd); Novice 3000m run (3rd)
  • Aeowyn Comissiong – Junior 80m hurdles (1st); Junior 300m hurdles (2nd), Junior long jump (4th)
  • Aidan Small – Senior 400m dash (3rd); Senior 800m run (2nd)
  • Xyon Johnson – Senior long jump (3rd); Senior triple jump (3rd)
  • Mac Cameron – Novice 400m dash (2nd)
  • Jay Turnquest Jr. – Junior 400m dash (3rd), Junior long jump (4th)
  • TianTian Dong – Senior 400m dash (4th)
  • Charlotte Belanger – Junior 3000m run (4th)

The Metro Regionals will be held at Birchmount Stadium in Toronto, May 23rd to 25th. Best of luck to our competing Bears!

Badminton: TCS was proud to host the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Badminton Championships in the Arnold Massey ’55 Athletic Centre from May 11th to 13th. The School welcomed top high school players from across the province and hundreds to spectators to campus. Over three days of action, volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the tournament proceeded smoothly. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this incredible event. Bigside Boys Tennis: A busy week saw the team finish the CISAA regular season well, beating Greenwood College 5-0 on May 15th and then splitting matches with St. Michael’s (0-5) and Royal St. George’s (4-1) on May 17th. Click here for recent photos of Bigside boys tennis.

Littleside Boys Rugby: The Bears had a strong win over Crescent at home, 24-7, on May 17th to wrap up the regular season. The teams will collide again in the semi-finals set for May 24th at TCS.

Bigside Girls Soccer: TCS beat De La Salle at home, 3-1, on May 17th to finish the season in second place in the CISAA league with a record of 3-1-2.
