Another banner year for AP exam results
  • Advanced Placement Students with research

The Advanced Placement (AP) program at Trinity College School continues to offer an opportunity for enrichment, through a broad range of courses, to students who are motivated in a given subject area and possess the learning skills to support advanced-level courses. As always, AP exams test students’ ability to perform in university-level courses. Scored on a scale from 1 to 5, exams earning a grade of 3 represent a student who is “qualified” to perform well at the university level, and a 5 indicates that the student is “extremely well qualified” at the university level in a given subject.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, an impressive 180 TCS Senior School students joined the millions of students worldwide to write the College Board AP examinations. In 2023, a total of 352 examinations were written resulting in 83.9% of our students earning an examination score of 3 or higher and the largest number of scholar designations in our history with the AP College Board. There were 52 AP Scholar designations, averaging 3.88.
