With just a couple of weeks left in the regular CISAA league season, Trinity College School sports teams are building momentum as they look towards playoffs in late February.

Basketball: Bigside basketball split games last week, beating Crestwood Prep at home, 71-44, on Wednesday, January 24th, but suffering a loss to St. Andrew’s College two days later. The Under-12 team has been enjoying learning skills and teamwork in its early games, including many students trying the sport for the very first time (click here to read more). And the Under-14 team continued its winning ways, posting a 45-27 win over Crestwood Prep on January 23rd, followed by a 69-38 victory over Pickering College just two days later. The team is currently in top spot in the CISAA league with a record of 6-0!

Volleyball: On the volleyball court, the Littleside team picked up a 3-1 road win (28-26, 25-16, 15-25, 25-17) at Lakefield College on January 24th. Bigside had a strong showing at home against Villanova on January 31st, winning in three sets (25-9, 25-18, 25-10). The Under-14 team started to find its groove, picking up a three-set win over Pickering College on January 23rd (click here to read more).

Hockey: Bigside boys hockey took down Appleby, 2-0, on Wednesday, January 24th, but followed that up with two losses, including a very tight match with Lakefield College, 3-2, on January 31st. The team is looking forward to hosting its own invitational tournament at the PCMR next weekend, February 9th-10th.

Swimming: An impressive 31 students have jumped in the pool to swim for the Junior School team this year. On January 23rd, the Bears competed in their second meet of the year – click here to read about the experience.
